The UK designer of salmon skin clothing and swimwear, Skini London, has been honoured in Time magazine’s Coolest Inventions awards 2003.

 

The US manufacturer of children’s footwear, Preschoolians, has also been recognised in the awards for its collection of footwear with see-through soles. The shoes contain a viewing window made from durable polyvinyl acetate so that parents can ensure a proper fit.

 

A total of 37 inventions have been honoured by Time, with categories of ‘Music and Fashion’, ‘Health and Safety’, ‘Gadgets and Robots’, ‘Transportation’, ‘Extreme Sports’ and ‘Light and Dark’.
