Argentine leathermakers reflect on APLF
According to the association, most visitors to the Argentine pavilion at the show appeared surprised at the high quality and design of the samples displayed, while several even compared them favourably to more expensive Italian articles. CIMA says that while no orders were taken, it nevertheless considered its presence at the show worthwhile as it flagged up the quality of Argentine leathergoods in the wider marketplace, hopefully paving the way to their return.
