Amadeu Pedrosa Fernandes, President of CICB,  Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry has been elected vice president of the International Council of Tanners - ICT.  His appointment was confirmed at the Council's Annual General Meeting, held October 27 in Bologna, Italy.  Mr Fernandez will assume the post in March 2004 before becoming president of the organisation in March 2005.  Mr Fernandes has been the representative of the countries in the Southern Hemisphere (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, New Zealand and South Africa) at ICT’s annual meetings for the past two years.
