Investment officials from China’s western county of Bishan recently travelled to the country’s southeastern business hub of Wenzhou to gain an insight into the latest investment and production methods being used in the city’s footwear industry.

Bishan is currently the largest footwear production base in western China. In the past five years, 206 companies have located to the county, generating an investment capital of Y1.46 billion ($126 million).
