Bangladesh leathergoods and footwear manufacturers form own association
The Leathergoods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) has been formed by 22 manufacturing and exporting companies. A seven member Executive Committee headed by M Nasser Rahman MP, managing director, Universal Leather Products Ltd has been elected by the members. Other members of the Executive Committee are Sr vice president Syed Nasim Manzur, managing director Apex Footwear Ltd, vice-president, Md Saiful Islam, managing director Picard Bangladesh Ltd, vice president (Finance) Nasir Khan, Managing Director Jenny's Shoes Ltd, Executive Members Aminur Rashid, managing director Lalmai Footwear Ltd, Serajul Islam, managing director Crown Leather Products Ltd and Kazi Rafi Ahmed, Director Legacy Footwear Ltd. Leathergoods and footwear manufacturers, who are also exporters, are invited to become members of the new association.
