Botswana’s Trade and Industry Minister, Jacob Nkate, has urged developers to invest in the country’s leather industry.

He said investors can benefit from low tax rates and the possibility of special tax exemptions.

Botswana currently has no exchange controls, corporate tax is 15% while income tax peaks at 25%.

Mr Nkate also highlighted the country’s diamond and tourist industries as possible investment opportunities.
