The National Association of Italian Manufacturers of Footwear, Leathergoods and Tannery Machines, Assomac, says it expects that the 2003 edition of Tanning Tech will be an even greater success than last year’s event.

260 exhibitors from 25 countries are expected to attend the show, which for the first time will exceed an area of 15,000 square metres.

The exhibition will feature companies from China, India, Iran and Uruguay for the first time, as well as the usual delegations from Assomac. Operator groups are also expected from India and Iran.

The African Federation of Associations in the Leather Sector (Aflai-Facic) plans to introduce the forthcoming Meet in Africa event, to be held October 6-9 2004 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Egyptian representatives will also update the press on the progress of the new tanning district in Robaki, which is to rehouse tanneries currently located in Cairo.

Tanning Tech will be held October 28-31 2003 in Bologna, Italy at Fiera di Bologna.
