Moldovan industrial growth up 19.1% January-July

According to statistics released by the CIS Interstate Statistics Committee, Moldova generated the highest industrial growth (+19.1%) in the CIS countries during January-July, 2003, compared with the same period last year.

 

During the seven months, the CIS countries’ industrial production increased 8% and GDP rose 7%. Production grew 18.1% in Armenia, 13.8% in the Ukraine, 9.4% in Tajikistan, 9.2% in Georgia, 9% in Kazakhstan, 7.1% in Kyrgyzstan and 6.8% in both Russia and Belarus. A decline was seen in Azerbaijan (-5%).
