Visitor numbers up 3% at 32nd Midec Paris

SEPIC, the organisers of the 32nd Midec Paris, held September 6-8 2003, have said the show attracted 12,512 visitors, up 3% on last year’s event. According to them, the number of international visitors rose 5% to 2,314, representing 18.5% of the overall figure. The show attracted an increase in European buyers, with Belgium being the most strongly represented, followed by Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands.

 

Held in synergy with 17 other trade fairs which make up the ‘Paris Capitale de la Création’ initiative, Midec previewed collections for spring/summer 2004 and updates for autumn/winter 2003/2004.

 

The show displayed the best known brands offering upmarket footwear for men and women, a wide selection of children’s footwear, newly launched brands and licenses, collections by young designers in ‘Imagine’ and a range of new ‘athletic fashion’ brands.
