A footwear technology roadshow being planned by SATRA in the USA for October is already attracting delegates from major American manufacturers, the UK technology specialist has advised.
Experts from the centre will cover a broad spectrum of topics including choosing the right last, optimising slip resistance, avoiding discoloration problems, identifying and avoiding banned substances, ethical trading and robotic testing
Three venues have been confirmed as follows: The Sheraton Gateway, Los Angeles (October 13), the St James Hotel, Red Wing, Minnesota (October 15) and The Four Points, Waltham, Massachusetts, (October 17). Admission is free to all SATRA members and Reebok, Stride-Rite, Sappi, LL Bean, Land's End, Norcross, Redwing, Payless Shoesource, Oakley and Deckers Outdoor Corporation are said to have booked already.
