Liberty Shoes Ltd. Haryana, India has announced plans to set up a new production facility in Uttaranchal. A capacity of 2,000 pairs/day of high-end shoes has been proposed with an investment of about Rs. 80 million to Rs. 100 million. So far, the company had identified 3 locations, which is expected to be firmed up shortly. The new facility is targeted to begin commercial production in mid 2004.
