Pigskin tannery invites share bids
The world's leading pigskin producer, IUV Industrija Usnja Vrhnika d.d. Vrhnika, has invited offers for a 50.58 % shareholding in the company.
The Slovenian firm describes itself as having around a 5% share in the world pigskin leather market and says the majority of its revenues are generated by pigskin leather production (80%). 20% is derived from confectionery and fancy goods. The company’s customers include Prada, Gucci, Kenzo, Yves Saint Laurent, Betty Barclay, Marina Rinaldi and J.C Penney.
