Dutch leather chemicals producer Smit & Zoon has appointed Mr Dirick von Behr as Technical Manager.

Reutlingen graduate Mr von Behr rejoins the company having served for three years as tannery manager with Malungs Garveri of Sweden.  In his previous career with Smit & Zoon, Mr von Behr travelled the world extensively in a Research and Development capacity, particular Indonesia and South Africa.  

In his new role, Mr von Behr will head up the company’s applications laboratory and technical team.  He says he sees his immediate priority as being to translate the latest technical innovations into practical solutions for tanneries.
