Diversification into ladies shoes for Tϋrkiye`s Tergan

 After thirty years as a manufacturer of classic leather accessories, Tergan Deri Urunleri San. ve Tic. A.S. of Istanbul, is now offering ladies fashion shoes as a sideline. They are still assessing local sales before investing in their own footwear machinery.

 

Two new product lines, a collection of handbags and luggage bearing the Tergan print logo and an outdoorsy, sport line of backpacks, shoulder totes and all-purpose hold-alls (“Sportline By Teryy”) use high tech nylon and synthetic leather, with classic calf trim. These target a more youthful, budget-conscious buyer.

 

An assortment of products and a more versatile price range are very important marketing tools for producers, like Tergan, who have scarcely deviated from classic leather and predictable styles for decades.
