Spain names China as its largest footwear supplier

The Spanish footwear industry generated sales of Eur3.12 billion during 2002. The majority of footwear imports came from China, accounting for 21.6% of the total. Vietnam, Italy and Thailand accounted for 15%, 10.3% and 6.4% respectively.

 

France, Germany, the UK and the US imported the highest proportion of footwear from Spain, accounting for 23.7%, 12.2%, 11.8% and 10% of the total respectively.
