Bruno Begey – the next big thing?

11/07/2003

The Thai manufacturer of exotic luxury leather goods, Sriracha Moda Leather Company, is setting up a Bt200 million ($4.8 million) factory in Si Racha, Chon Buri, Thailand.

The plant will initially employ 20 workers and will produce handbags, purses and belts made from exotic skins, such as crocodile and python. The factory will produce 100 pieces per year, to increase by an additional 100 every year.

The goods will be marketed under the Bruno Begey brand and will be available in both Thailand and internationally by the end of 2003. The brand is already available in Japan and France, and has been so well received by consumers, that the firm plans to open a Bruno Begey shop in Japan and France over the next two years.
