The organisers of the new international leather and components exhibition, Lineapelle Asia, have announced that the inaugural edition of the show will be held 27-29 November, 2003 in Canton, China.

The announcement was presented on June 23, 2003 by a group of officials, including the deputy mayor of Guangzhou Municipal Government, Lin Yuan He and the managing director of Unic and Lineapelle, Salvatore Mercogliano.

Lineapelle Asia will feature a fashion show and a presentation of Italian and European trends for the forthcoming seasons and will be held at Canton’s new exhibition centre, ranking it second in the world in terms of size and technological fittings.

The organisers hope that the prestige of the main European show, Lineapelle, to be held October 28-30, 2003 and April 27-29, 2004 in Bologna, Italy will help the Asian counterpart become the most important exhibition in the east.
