Europe-Africa trade opportunities to be explored at Kenyan meeting
A group of leather trade organisations from Europe and Africa have joined forces to organise a meeting aimed at promoting leather trade and technology links between the two continents.
Conducted under the supervision of the European Commission, the meeting will take place in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi on July 14-17 2003 and has the secondary aims of improving efficiency and quality levels within African tannery operations.
The organisations behind the meeting are; Eastern and Southern Africa leather industries Association, (ESALIA), Associazione nazionale costruttori macchine dell’area pelle [ASSOMAC-Italy], VDMA-Germany (Garment and Leather Technology association), Asociacion Espanola de Empresas de componentes para el Calzado (AEC-Spain), Ethiopian Tanners Association (ETA-Ethiopia) and Uganda Leather and Allied Industries Association (ULAIA-Uganda)
