Aokang Group’s exports leap 100%

The Aokang Footwear Group has shrugged off global economic concerns generated by SARS,  announcing that its domestic sales and exports increased 30% and 100% respectively, during April and May, 2003.

 

The Chinese group’s president, Mr Wang Zhen Tao, attributed the rise to the firm’s Y20 million ($2.42 million) television and newspaper advertising campaign in April.

 

He said the group increased its orders from the US, Italy, Japan, England, Greece and Australia by promoting the Aokang brand via email.
