Lectra posts excellent Q1

The French software and hardware manufacturer, Lectra, has posted excellent results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2003.

 

The company which produces systems for the textiles and leather industries, saw revenues increased 8% to Eur45.2 million ($51.3 million) and its operating income rose 157% to Eur1.8 million ($2 million). Sales of new systems rose 24% to Eur25.3 million, while orders were up 10%.

 

The firm expects revenues and earnings to continue to grow during 2003. However, states that the uncertain economic and geopolitical situation makes it difficult to forecast.
