Raymond Beard, has been awarded the Buckman Laboratories 2002 Edward Weiss Memorial Award for Excellence in the Leather Industry. The award recognizes the achievement of individuals who have contributed in a significant way to the company’s progress in the leather industry over the preceding year.

Working for Buckman Laboratories Australia and New Zealand, Beard joined the company four years ago. Prior to that he worked as a general manager and senior technician at an exotic skins tannery. He had also previously served as a technician to a wet blue tannery.
