Dramatic new location for ModaPelle

25/04/2003

The Modapelle Pitti Immagine show moved to a new venue for its eighth edition at the end of March with its preview of spring/summer 2004 leathers. Within walking distance of the historic centre of Florence, it used the Stazione Leopolda and its extraordinary mid-19th century industrial architecture to good effect for some 85 exhibiting companies. The show, with its emphasis on high fashion clothing and footwear, again attracted buyers from the world’s top brands. The ‘Spazio Ricerca’, entitled Arts and Crafts, under the creative guidance of Li Edelkoort, one of the leading authorities in trend research, was split into four major themes – Gathering, Crafting, Tattooing and Collaging.
