The UK-based materials testing specialist, SATRA, says its first footwear seminars held in China and Hong Kong, April 1-5 2003 were a success, despite the outbreak of the SARS virus in the region.

SATRA held two seminars in Guangzhou and Dongguan advising footwear and leather companies on how to succeed in Western markets. The organising team also took the opportunity to visit several factories while in China, resulting in significant new business links being forged, SATRA says.
