Following the unexpected resignation of Mr Zbigniew Smyczek from the post, the Polish Chamber of Shoe and Leather Industries (PCSLI) has appointed Mr. Wieslaw Wojas as its new president.

Mr Wojas is the owner of the Wojas shoe factory in Nowy Targ in the south of the country.  With an output of around 700,000 mens and ladies shoes and military boots per year, the factory employs around 560 workers and makes particular use of the Goodyear welted system.
