According to the Tanzanian minister for industries and trade, Dr Juma Ngasongwa, Tanzania’s leather industry is to be the first victim of the Government’s repossession of privatised industries programme.

The Government will repossess businesses which have not been developed into viable investments. The textile and general manufacturing industries will also be affected by the programme.
