Versace visits Denmark
Santo Versace, the chairman of the leading Italian fashion house, Versace, was in
The purpose of the visit was for Versace to connect more closely with Saga, as part of the firm’s strategy to strengthen its links with international luxury brands.
Versace said: “I was impressed with what I saw at the auction house. Everything was well organised and you could see that it performs well. The classification of the skins was very interesting to me - a lot of work goes into defining the qualities of the skins, but that is good because quality is so important to high priced products.”
He added: “A Versace collection is about beauty, strength and liberty and Versace women like fur. I have seen new things with fur at Saga, where mink and fox really are fashion materials, and that gives many possibilities for the future.
Versace selects its partners very carefully and Saga has been chosen as it represents the best in mink and fur.”
