Record breaking International Leather Week opens in Spain

The twelfth edition of International Leather Week, Spain’s leading leather and footwear exhibition opened today at the Juan Carlos I Exhibition Centre, Madrid.

 

The three day event is featuring 710 exhibitors from all over the world, 7.5% up on last year and the highest in its history. Since its creation in October 1997, the fair has more than doubled in size.

 

Feria de Madrid (IFEMA) are hosting the event, which is a collaboration between Modacalzado, the footwear and leather fashion trade fair and Iberpiel Marroquinería, the international leather goods trade fair.

 

Exhibitors are previewing autumn/winter 2003/2004 footwear and accessories collections, as well as a range of new features for the machinery, raw materials and leather making equipment industries.
