Costs related to leather seats were among those slashed by British Airways last year, helping the airline save £4.2 million ($6.6 million), the company has announced. Other savings were made by reducing expenditure on couriers, stationery, headsets, blankets and menus. British Airways says it plans to cut back its UK suppliers from 5,000 to 2,000 over the next two years, saving an estimated £450 million.
