Adverse weather in the Ukraine has destroyed over 50% of the country’s winter crops. To make room for resowing four million ha of land, Ukrainian farmers will mass slaughter cattle, in particular cows, over the next few months. The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture has offered financial help to farmers affected by the crisis.
