The Guangdong City Shoe Industry Commerce Chamber has signed an agreement with the US Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), which will give Chinese and American footwear manufacturers the opportunity to trade together more effectively.

As part of the initiative, an exhibition hall presenting Guangdong-produced footwear will be constructed in the US. Guangdong’s footwear exports totaled $2.93billion in 2002, comprising 58% of China’s total US footwear exports.
