The Shenzhen Economy & Commerce Bureau has announced the opening of six industrial parks producing leather goods and footwear, clothing, furniture and craftwork in Shenzhen City, China.

The first Shenzhen Leather & Shoe Industrial park is already under construction and once finished will cover 420,000 square metres and contain 35 enterprises. According to the Bureau, the parks will be among the most high-tech in the country, incorporating broadband internet facilities, information databases and an e-commerce platform.

Shenzhen City is the youngest city in the country and the municipal government hopes that with its high tech facilities, the new park will greatly enhance the development of these key industries.
