Environmental accreditation for US leather producer
Schweizer Leather Arcona has announced its accreditation to ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001, the environmental management system registration; from BVQI (Bureau Veritas Quality International). The BVQI team also reported favourably on the company’s senior management’s commitment with personal involvement in developing and monitoring the quality management system.
According to Kurt Schweizer, president of Schweizer Leather Arcona. “The demands of today’s global economy are making the business environment increasingly competitive. At the same time, it is becoming more difficult for customers to accurately compare differences between leather manufacturers. By having a worldwide, internationally accepted standard, customers can objectively evaluate a company’s products regardless of the industry or company location.”
