Following the announcement of its 39% surge in second quarter profits (see leatherbiz.com story, Coach earnings soar on strong US and Japanese sales – 23.01.03), Coach Inc has unveiled plans to open a further 100 stores in the US over the next five years. The openings will bring its US store count to at least 250.

The leather goods and accessories maker cited Japan as its second largest growth opportunity and plans to add another 25 stores to its current base of 89 in the country.
