Tragedy strikes again at Trussardi

27/01/2003

The Italian fashion industry is mourning the loss of Francesco Trussardi, chairman of Italy’s popular Trussardi fashion house, after he was tragically killed in a car crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 29-year-old died instantly when he lost control of his Ferrari and collided with a lamppost whilst driving to Bergamo in northern Italy.

Trussardi and his sister Beatrice took over the fashion house in April 1999 after their father Nicola Trussardi, the founder of the company, was killed in a car crash near Milan, aged 56.

Trussardi is one of Italy’s most popular brands of designer jeans, leather jackets, handbags and accessories.
