French leather industry elects new representatives

The Conseil National Du Cuir (National Council of Leather) has advised of its new council as follows:

 

Chairman: Mr. Paul Batigne, Chairman of the Union of French Tanneries.

 

Treasurer: Mr. Robert Gourrut, Chairman of The National Federation of Leathercraft and Travel Gear Retailers.

 

Secretary: Mr. Raymond Sieffert, Chairman of the National Federation of Protective Materials and Items.

 

International Leather Week is directly tied to the National Council of Leather and works with the Paris based event organiser the SIC Group, which is dedicated to organising trade shows for businesses worldwide.

 

Chairman: Mr. Paul Batigne, Chairman of the Union of French Tanneries.

 

Treasurer: Mr. Richard Heyraud, Chairman of the National Federation of Branch Trading.

 

Secretary: Mr. Paul Rigaudy, Chairman of the French Federation of the Leather Glove-Making Associations.

 

The Chairman, Mr. Paul Batigne is the CEO of Sabin SA, a company which specialises in leather and pelt trading and generates 90% of its revenues from exports. He ran a family tannery business for 40 years and is the Chairman of Union of French tanneries and board member of the Trade Committee for the Development of Leather, Shoe and Leathercraft Industries. He is also a board member of the Ardour Garonne Water Agency, the economic and social advisor for the Midi-Pyrénées region and was an elected member of the European Confederation of Tanners during June 2002.
