Dry Shod acquired by GBMI
The licensing company, Global Brand Marketing, Inc. (GBMI) of Santa Barbara has expanded its portfolio of footwear brands with the acquisition of the Italian designer label, Dry Shod.
The brand will debut its autumn/winter 2003 collection at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) tradeshow, this December, at GBMI's new showroom on Fifth Avenue.
The Dry-Shod label joins Diesel, XOXO, Nautica, and Mecca Footwear in the GBMI stable of footwear licenses. Though the products themselves will continue to be manufactured in Italy and Spain, their marketing will be handled from GBMI's Santa Barbara office. GBMI’s plans for the label include the relaunch of the men's couture clothing collection in 2004, new women’s and children’s styles, as well as the opening of Dry Shod branded retail outlets in key cities in the U.S., Europe and Asia, again in 2004.
