Puma signs up with SATRA
Puma has become the latest sports brand to become a member of SATRA, the UK-based testing and research organisation has advised. The move follows a recent visit to the facility by a delegation from the German sportswear brand.
Reiner Seiz, director of sourcing and logistics, explained that Puma has its own laboratories for the testing of footwear and apparel in Germany and the Far East, and as a result test methods may differ. "We are now looking to SATRA to use its expertise and knowledge to help us to unify these methods and set standards, especially for footwear." Reebok and adidas are already members of SATRA.
