Italian tanning machine exports down by 0.62%

According to the National Association of Italian Manufacturers of Footwear, Leathergoods and Tannery Machines (ASSOMAC), exports by its members slipped 0.62% during the first seven months of the year.

However, a 7.33% increase was seen in tanning machinery exports, with exports of the same to other European destinations increasing by 23.3%, overtaking Asia as the industry’s largest continental market for tanning machines. Europe accounted for 34.75% of all tanning equipment exports, Asia 32.58%, America 23.23%, Africa 8.05% and Oceania 1.39%.
