Reports from the village of Chervone, in the Zguriv district of the Ukraine, say that the Anthrax has been registered in the area.

Laboratory examinations conducted in early November by experts from the Ministry of Extraordinary Situations, confirmed the reports.

The infected cow in question has been slaughtered and its carcass incinerated. People who had come into contact with the animal are reported to be under medical supervision. In an effort to allay concerns, veterinary authorities in the Ukraine stated that all necessary measures to control the disease have been taken.
