Majilite Corporation, producer of high performance coated fabric materials and a subsidiary of Meridian Industries, based in the US, has announced it has entered into a technical service agreement with UPACO Asia Ltd, a division of Worthen Industries Inc.

As of November 1, 2002, UPACO Asia Ltd. is the official Technical Service Representative in South Eastern China for Majilite’s footwear division. They will co-ordinate the activities of the factories in the region, utilising the wide range of white dyeable, evening and fashion fabrics produced by the company.

Majilite has also announced the construction of a new manufacturing facility to house its multi-station coating and lamination line, research and development, quality control laboratories and manufacturing offices.

The new facility will be sited adjacent to the existing Majilite headquarters and distribution centre in Massachusetts, USA.
