Ho Chi Minh City leather footwear production on the up
The leather shoe industry in the Vietnamese capital of Ho Chi Minh City was among those to record a growth rate in excess of 15% during the first ten months of the year, the city’s Trade Service has advised.
The results were in line with the generally improving economic situation. Total export revenues were $5.21 billion, a slight increase of 2.3% from the same period last year. Total industrial output also recorded the highest ten-monthly growth level since the beginning of the year at 13.5%, with a total value of $4.04 billion. The other industries to post growth rates in excess of 15% were garments, wood processing, plastic products and construction materials.
