Merrell brand to operate separately
Wolverine World Wide Inc, a leading marketer of branded footwear, has announced that it has established the Merrell Performance Footwear brand as a separate operating unit of the company.
Merrell’s president Jacques Lavertue, who will report directly to Timothy J. O’Donovan, Wolverine’s President and CEO, will head the new business structure.
Mr. O’Donovan described the move as a "future growth engine for the company". Mr. Lavertue welcomed the combination of Merrell's innovation and design aptitude with Wolverine's strong financial and supply chain management expertise.
