GDS Düsseldorf and and Micam Milan clash again

The conflict between the GDS Fair in Düsseldorf and the Micam Fair in Milan continued as both opened at the same time this month.
According to GDS organisers the Düsseldorf fair attracted 42,000 visitors compared to 34.000 (including 13.648 from outside Italy) who arrived in Milan.
In turn, Micam pointed out that the quantity of visitors increased by 4% (+7.3% from abroad), while the German fair attracted less visitors than a year ago (47.000).
The conflict looks like it will be ongoing, as the next dates for the autumn fairs in 2003 and 2004 are nearly the same for both venues.
