Skechers consolidates Euro distribution operations at ProLogis Park Liège
Referred to as Skechers EDC SPRL, the new facility will provide the hub of the brand’s entire European distribution operations, enabling the company to ship two or three times the number of shoes it did through its previous, third party, distribution centre in Belgium. As Skechers has first option on the remaining three units planned for development, the new facility is expandable to one million square feet.
In support of its direct operations in Europe, Skechers has also established Skechers S.à.r.l, a Swiss holding company responsible for running Skechers international operations and four subsidiaries covering the UK and Ireland, Germany, France, Iberia (Portugal and France). A fifth subsidiary, Skechers Benelux B.V. (The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg) will be added in the coming months.
