Madrid gears up for weekend of leather and footwear shows

With the international exhibition season now in full swing, the next major show on the itinerary will be this weekend’s Spanish leather and footwear fair, Iberpiel/Modacalzado. 

 

Occupying four halls at Madrid’s Juan Carlos I Exhbition Centre, this autumn’s show will preview the spring/summer 2003 collections of 674 leather fashion and accessory manufacturers (Modacalzado) and leather goods and footwear manufacturers (Iberpiel/Marroquineria).  Both fair will be opened Friday at 10 am by Mr Pedro Morenés, secretary of state of scientific and technological policy.  A full report on the fair will be carried on leatherbiz.com, next week.
