2002 All China Leather Exhibition draws international interest
The autumn 2002 edition of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) opens its doors today with a view to increasing business between the Chinese shoe and leather industry and its international suppliers and customers.
The event will run from September 18-20 at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center. Over 600 companies will exhibit from 28 countries and regions- a 14% increase from last year. Participating nations include Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the USA.
The event will also feature the work of over 200 exhibitors from China- principally raw material suppliers and shoe and leather making machinery manufacturers. First-time component and shoe-making exhibitors from Wenzhou will display, along with new groups from Shenzhen, the Huadu District of Guangzhou and the Hongkou District of Shanghai, who will exhibit their latest footwear and handbags.
As ever, the event will be comprised of a number of activities alongside exhibitions. There will be an enlarged session of the national council, technology and economic forums, presentations on new products, and match making meetings and international conferences organised during the show.
Regular features remain- the ‘Genuine Leather Mark Cup’ competition for leather shoe and training shoe design, and fashion shows.
