Gerber appoints Larson to senior European post

Gerber Technology has announced the appointment of Per Larsson as Deputy Regional Director for Central Europe. Mr. Larsson will be based in Munich and report to Werner Vetter, Regional Director of the region.

Prior to joining Gerber Technology, Mr. Larsson spent 10 years with Frigoscandia and FMC, specialist suppliers of material handling equipment and systems to the food, automation and heavy industries. Most recently he was Chairman of the Board of Frigoscandia/PPM AB, Sweden, and General Manager of FMC, Allen Systems in Oregon, USA, where he was responsible for leading a business of $40 million in revenue with 270 employees. Prior to this, Mr. Larsson held various management positions in Frigoscandia and FMC, including Marketing and Sales Director and Systems Manager. Earlier he worked for Agroproject AB, Sweden, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Larsson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Halmstad, Sweden and has studied Law and Business Administration at the University of Lund, Sweden.

In the position of Deputy Regional Director – Central Europe region, he will be responsible for the management of agent and distributor operations in the territory of Benelux, CIS (the former Soviet Union), Eastern Europe, the Nordic Countries, the Baltic Countries, Greece and Turkey. Reporting to Mr. Larsson will be Oldrich Matela, Area Manager.
