Theodore B. Porosky,

Theodore B. Porosky, 81, former president of the A.S. Burg Co., of Boston, MA, died recently in Centerville, MA, following a lengthy bout of Parkinson’s disease. A.S/ Burg was a major producer of fabrics for the footwear industry.

Following naval service during World War II, Porosky joined Burg after marrying the daughter of the owner. During his years with the company he founded Pace Setter Products in Salem MA as a division of Burg. During his lengthy career he served as a member of the New England Footwear Association, the American Footwear Institute, and was treasurer of both the National Shoe Fabrics Association of America and the Fashion Footwear Materials Association. He also served on the board of directors of the Two Ten International Footwear Association.

Besides his wife, Porosky leaves a daughter, a grandson, a sister and four other grandchildren.
