Weco closes North American unit

The German leather upholstery specialist Weco is understood to have ceased its North American operations after a two-year effort.

Parent group Weco Polstermobel GmbH has shuttered both its sales operations in Charlotte, N.C., and its High Point showroom at 220 Elm. The company’s range of motion, modular and stationary leather upholstery had been distributed via prestige retailers. The company will continue to service the US market via its German export office.
