Huadu stays home of China leather exhibition

The second China Leather Goods Exhibition will take place this year in the Shiling international leather goods mall, in the city of Huadu.

Mr. Huang shui Ji, general secretary of the Huadu district, said  most of ithe city's leather goods are made in Shiling Town, where now over 4,000 leather goods enterprises operate. In 2001, output exceeded 4 billion yuan ($ 483.1 million).

With the success of the first China Leather Goods Exhibition held at the venue, enterprises from countries including Italy, France, Japan and Korea have purchased booths this year. Acting on this level of interest, Huadu is rebuilding the exhibition centre with added funds of 280 million yuan ($ 33.82 million).
